OverviewWhen an organization has global operations, total rewards need to be aligned with its global business strategy to ensure fair, equitable, market competitive, and legal programs in each country of operation. This course demonstrates how to evaluate total rewards for employees having different kinds of international assignments. The course will cover topics including base salary, variable pay, allowances, benefits, taxes, and compliance with local laws. It will also look at how the local economy and culture influence total rewards practices.

  • Differentiate between Third Country National, Local National, Expatriate, Global Nomad, and International Assignee
  • Recognize the following total rewards program designs: host country, headquarters, and home country
  • Specify the different elements of total rewards packages for different categories of global employees
  • Identify local labor practices, laws, culture, and economies that impact compensation and benefits
  • Identify how bonuses and incentives differ between countries
  • Specify how both required and discretionary benefits may vary from country to country
